The chemo-mechanical preparation of the root canal system is one of the most important steps in endodontic therapy. Complex anatomies as narrow root canal systems, severely curved root canals or the combination of both can be very challenging. Severe complications like fractured instruments, ledges or even perforations may occur during the treatment. The focus of this lecture is to provide the dentist with strategies and tricks to make their root canal preparations more predictable and less challenging. Furthermore, a new generation NITI File system called JIZAI will be presented. It features unique design and flexibility besides a very easily to adapt manual. JIZAI will enable the dentist to treat even the most challenging root canals safely, efficiently and predictably.
