ACTEON North America Announces an Extended Warranty Program for Sopix2 Digital X-Ray Sensors

Mount Laurel, NJ, 3/15/11 – ACTEON North America has announced the release and availability of an extended warranty program for its Sopix2 line of digital x-ray sensors.

The standard limited warranty has been extended from 2 years to 3 years and the total warranty period is extendable to 5 years via a low cost annual subscription.

“An extended warranty program has been something the market has been asking for since we first introduced the Sopix2 sensor to the US market last year” said Wyatt Wilson, COO of ACTEON North America“ and we were confident enough in the quality and durability of the sensors to extend the factory warranty period to 3 years and to also offer the option for another two.”

The company released the following details of the extended warranty program.  The factory warranty will be in effect for the sensor’s first 3 years and a $1,395 annual subscription fee can extend the warranty through years 4 and 5.  Extended coverage entitles the user to purchase a replacement sensor at a 70% discount off the retail price in effect during year 4 and by a 60% discount off the retail price during year 5.

“During this introductory period, I am happy to announce that any purchases made during calendar year 2011 will be eligible to have the subscription fees waived” continued Wilson

“ So, essentially everyone who tries a Sopix2 sensor this year will be getting a 5 year warranty at no additional charge and they will only be responsible for the replacement cost in year 4 and year 5.”

The Sopix2 digital x-ray sensors connect to an operatory PC via a USB port and produce outstanding x-ray images.   They are available in sizes 1 and 2 and are available through all broad line dental dealers.
